MAX "FURY", 1/28/06 (TV)

FURY was definetly a night of surprises. The first match of the night was an openweight contest between rookie Masato Yamashita and the caveman from the mountains, Masa Genjin. Yamashita controlled most of the match and was able to put the junior heavyweight away with a backdrop pin.

The second match was a short contest as STRiKERS member Meng Lee knocked out Unit T with a devestating side kick to the head. The referee stopped the match before Lee was even able to make a cover or possibly enflict further damage.

Tiger Hero & RAVE versus Shuji Kondo & "brother" YASSHI was an early contender for "Match of the Year". It was a back and forward match, but Tiger Hero seemed finished late into the match. He was able to get the tag into RAVE who took control. Eventually the match broke into a fight on the floor, but the competitors returned to the ring with minutes left on the time limit. Kondo tried to get RAVE to submit, but he refused and the time limit expired.

Tony Royal made his debut in MAX by acting as second for his tag team partner, Steven Simpson. Simpson ended up feud with David Wright by making him submit to a dragon sleeper in another good match.

One of the biggest shockers of the night was Terry Butcher getting a surprise win over Hiromichi Takada in a tag team contest. Rookie Taiki Fujiwara mixed it up with MAX World Heavyweight Champion, Genichiro Tenryu at the start of the match, but Tenryu quickly dominated the younger who had to tag out to his XJPW leader. The match ended up on the floor where Takada took a 53 Years Old onto the floor by Tenryu. This was obviously what ended the match for Takada as he was never able to recover and ended up tapping out to a grounded headscissors.

The next surprise was TOKYO DARK's N-GEN getting a win over his former leader and the man who brought him into MAX, Kazuma Hamada. Hamada never really got started and was defeated with a Bisontennial (Styles Clash). Hamada was visibly upset when talking to the press and requested a rematch.

Devil Mitsu is still a member of TOKYO DARK. The second to last match of the night was a straight tag match that ended in a brawl on the outside. TARU was able to get back into the ring before the Great Muta who had been fighting Hannibal Kong. Muta was counted out and Devil Mitsu suddenly attacked Muta. TARU. Kong, & Mitsu left Muta for dead in the ring with TOKYO DARK and Voodoo-Murders flags on top of him.

Super Warriors were once again able to defeat Dan Eaton and T-800, this time with no controversy. The match was all power moves and came to an end when Beast locked T-800 in a torture rack for the submission win. The next card is the Hiromichi Takada booked XJPW show.
