Two big news items out of today's show. The first being STRiKERS leader RAVE against fellow member Meng Lee. They had a very competitive match and shook hands afterwards. The second news item was the other STRiKERS member, Terry Jaa upsetting All Japan's Kaz Hayashi. Jaa surprised Hayashi with a quick hurracanrana for the win.

Kensuke Sasaki continues to dominate on his way to his MAX World Heavyweight Title match. Sasaki won a huge battle royal last eliminating Taiki Fujiwara who has looked quite impressive lately.

Genichiro Tenryu fell today, but in a non-title match. After losing to Masato Yamashita, Terry Butcher had a lot to prove today and did just that by knocking out Tenryu and then going on to defeat Hiromichi Takada.

UK Machine had his first match in MAX today and looked good in his debut. He didn't use his British Fall DX to beat Unit B instead going with a leg lock for the submission victory.

Tiger Demon destroyed Unit T today. Finishing him off with a hard snap suplex for the win.

1. Heavyweight Battle Royal: Kensuke Sasaki beat Taiki Fujiwara (46:59) with a lariat. Order of Elimination: T-800, David Wright, Tyler Chase, Tony Royal, Demon Machine Kong, Super Warrior Snake, & Taiki Fujiwara.
2. Three Way Elimination Match: Terry Butcher beat Genichiro Tenryu (18:15) via KO with the Decapitation Lariat. Terry Butcher beat Hiromichi Takada (21:36) with a pinning powerbomb.
3. Universo Cup - A Block: UK Machine [2] beat Unit B [0] (12:00) with a leg lock.
4. Universo Cup - B Block: Tiger Demon [2] beat Unit T [0] (8:04) with a snap suplex.

Two big surprises on today's show as rookies Taiki Fujiwara and Masato Yamashita both won big with german suplex holds. Devil Mitsu was able to last longer than expected with Tenryu and Kensuke Sasaki showed he was ready for Tenryu by defeating Snake.

In Universo Cup matches, RAVE and N-GEN had a fast paced back and fourth match while Kazuma Hamada defeated RAVE's fellow STRiKERS member Terry Jaa.

First night of the Universo Cup is in the books. The Demon Machines were successful in their first match as tag team partners. Kensuke Sasaki and Super Warrior Snake also teamed up to defeat MAX World Heavyweight champion Genichiro Tenryu and XJPW leader Hiromichi Takada. Sasaki and Snake will fight each other on tomorrow's card. Masa Genjin put up a good fight but was downed by Meng Lee. Derek Chase continued to impress in singles competition by getting a huge win over All Japan's Kaz Hayashi.

1. Demon Machines Kong & Beast beat Steven Simpson & Tony Royal (24:46) when Beast made Simpson submit to a torture rack.
2. T-800 beat David Wright (9:06) via submission with a dragon sleeper.

After some time off, MAX finally broke some news today.

- The World Cup of Wrestling has been cancelled in favor of a singles Junior tournament. The schedule for the Universo Cup can be seen after the news.

- Super Warrior Snake said he should have not been surprised that his former partner, Beast joined the Demon Army. Snake said they'd have problems for a while now and the loss of the MAX World Tag Team titles only added to them. Snake challenged Demon Machine Beast to a singles match.

- Genichiro Tenryu said he is hungry for another defense of his MAX World Heavyweight title. Tenryu said the challenge is now open to both Demon Machine Beast AND his new partner Demon Machine Kong. Tenryu will have to get by Kensuke Sasaki first, who MAX officals named as his new challenger.

- Both the MAX World Tag Team titles and the MAX World Jr. Heavyweight title will NOT be defended on the Universo Cup tour, due to Derek Chase and Tiger Demon being in the tournament. Tyler Chase said he was looking forward to competiting in singles matches which is what his bother did during the Crash Carnival.
