MAX, "1ST ANNIVERSARY", 10/5/06 (PPV + TV)
The first year of Pro-Wrestling MAX ended with a bang.
The first match of the night was very hard fought with all four men looking good in the match. Xero & Genesis were very impressive as a tag team and were able to come out with a win in the end.
THe first interpromotional match of the night had the two MAX rookies against Z1-MAX veterans. Masato Yamashita got the surprise win over Shinjiro Ohtani with just under three minutes left in the place. This could have put the rookies in place for a tag title match.
The next match had another MAX tag team getting another big win. The interpromotional tag team and current IWGP Tag Team champions Manabu Nakanishi and Takao Omori stepped into MAX to take on Steven Simpson and Tony Royal. Simpson got the big win after winning one german suplex and another with a bridge to pin Omori.
Katsuyori Shibata was unable to appear due to health problems so Alexander Otsuka appeared in his place. Otsuka surprising dominated the match and was able to take Hiromichi Takada down three times to win in the second round.
RAVE is once again MAX World Junior Heavyweight champion! Tiger Demon was never really able to get started (his mind maybe being on the War Games match) and RAVE pinned him with the Overdose.
Snake hasn't really been the same since his Super Warriors team broke up and that unfortunately continued today as he was defeated by the debuting Samoa Joe.
J-Tex Corporation came together for one night in a bloody brawl with the Voodoo-Murders. GREAT MUTA and Terry Funk stepped into the ring with TARU and Suwama for a wild match. MUTA was able to get TARU down and hit his moonsault press to win the bout.
KENTA versus Kazuma Hamada didn't last long, but Hamada went through a lot of punishment. It took THREE Go 2 Sleeps and a falcon arrow to put him down for the three count.
The second NOAH match was also short, but also very pyshical. Morishima took two decapitation lariats before he could be beat.
The MAX World Tag Team title match was pure pro-wrestling against martial arts. The STRiKERS team attacked their opponents with many kicks, but the Chase brothers showed they were the real deal and retained their titles.
Demon Army and TOKYO DARK went to war inside the steel and only one group came out. Blood was spilled in a hard fought match and in the closing moments Demon Machine Beast hit Devil Mitsu with a super bomb putting an end to the TOKYO DARK stable. The members of TOKYO DARK are expected to join MAX, but there's also rumours that Dan Eaton could be retiring.
Triple Crown champion Minoru Suzuki entered MAX today and put an end to Genichiro Tenryu's legendary title reign. Suzuki worked on Tenryu's arm and finished the match off with an armbar stopping Tenryu from defending the title successfully five times.
Terry Butcher came out after the main event and challenged Suzuki to a title match. Suzuki threw the belt at Butcher already showing disrespect to the title like he has the Triple Crown. Butcher went to attack Suzuki, but ring crew stopped him and Suzuki calmly exited from the other side of the ring.

5. MAX World Jr. Heavyweight Title: RAVE beat Tiger Demon (10:00) with the Overdose to become the 3rd champion.
6. Special Match: Samoa Joe beat Super Warrior Snake (8:59) with a Muscle Buster.

10. MAX World Tag Team Titles: Tyler & Derek Chase (c) beat Meng Lee & Terry Jaa (27:04) when Tyler Chase pinned Meng Lee after a tiger bomb (1st defense).
11. War Games: Demon Army (Demon Machine Beast, Demon Machine Kong, N-GEN, & Demon Blood) beat TOKYO DARK (Dan Eaton, T-800, Devil Mitsu, & Guerrero del Leon)(19:13) when Beast pinned Mitsu with a super bomb. TOKYO DARK must disband.
