MAX "CRASH CHALLENGE", 5/28/06 (PPV)

Another MAX show is in the books, but not without some controversy.

TOKYO DARK's Devil Mitsu got a much needed win over XJPW rookie, Taiki Fujiwara. Mitsu needed it more than ever after a humiliating losing streak in the Crash Carnival.

Demon Army's first match as a faction was a successful one. Tiger Demon & N-GEN beat the Chase Brothers with N-GEN beating Derek, the junior heavyweight of the team. N-GEN used a sort of grounded muscle buster submission hold which he calls the Demon Lock.

On the other hand, Hannibal Kong's first match as a Demon Army member wasn't successful. He last a hard fought match against TOKYO DARK's T-800, who really came into his own during the Crash Carnival. T-800 was attacked by all three Demon Army members after the match with baseball bats and kendo sticks. Kong ripped his mask off, T-800's fellow TOKYO DARK members came out and chased off the Demon Army and covered T-800's face before any more damage could be done. Kong mocked TOKYO DARK and put on T-800's mask before leaving ringside.

Another man who came into his own during the Crash Carnival was Terry Butcher. Butcher beat TOKYO DARK leader Dan Eaton. Eaton claimed that his head wasn't into the match with what previously happened to his fellow stable member.

Kazuma Hamada has earned the right to challenge for Tiger Demon's MAX World Junior Heavyweight title after beating RAVE. It was a very fast paced match that saw Hamada pin RAVE with an amazing hurracanrana from the top rope.

Genichiro Tenryu was determined to beat Super Warrior Snake and keep his MAX World Heavyweight title after losing to Snake in the Crash Carnival final. Tenryu did indeed win, but not without some controversy. Snake's tag team partner (and the other half of the MAX World Tag Team champions) Beast accompanied Snake to the ring. He got in the referee's face many times during the match (once when Snake had the pin) and at one point threw multiple chairs into the ring. After Snake lost, Beat simply left the ringside area. It's said that Beast isn't happy with being the "other" member of the Super Warriors.

1. Kikutaro & Masa Genjin beat Memory Unit BT (13:33) when Genjin pinned Unit B with a reverse cradle.
2. Meng Lee & Terry Jaa beat Kaz Hayashi (AJPW) & Katsuhiko Nakajima (KENSUKE OFFICE) (13:42) via referee stoppage after a side kick by Lee on Nakajima.
3. Devil Mitsu beat Taiki Fujiwara (14:58) with a hurracanrana.
4. Tiger Demon & N-GEN beat Tyler & Derek Chase (26:32) when N-GEN made Derek submit to the Demon Lock.
5. T-800 beat Hannibal Kong (20:28) with a Dominator.
6. Terry Butcher beat Dan Eaton (11:44) with the Decapitation Lariat.
7. David Wright & Masato Yamashita beat Steven Simpson & Tony Royal (22:47) when Yamashita pinned Royal with a backdrop hold.
8. Jr. Title Contender Match: Kazuma Hamada beat RAVE (14:38) with a diving hurracanrana.
9. MAX World Heavyweight Title: Genichiro Tenryu (c) beat Super Warrior Snake (18:04) with the 53 Years Old (3rd defense).

- Super Warrior Snake spoke to the press today. He was asked how he will defend the MAX World Tag Team titles if he wins the MAX World Heavyweight tile. Snake said he hopes to defend the titles by month, but if that doesn't work out, he would have to vacate his tag title or try and get MAX officals to allow a replacement partner for Beast.

His opponent and MAX World Heavyweight champion, Genichiro Tenryu, also spoke today. Tenryu said he expects another tough match against Snake, but believes that he will come out the victor in their second encounter.
